Visa to Italy for Belarusians. How to open in Minsk yourself?

There are places that fascinate to see them once, I want to return again and again. Italy is a good example of such a place. I was always attracted by the history, culture, nature of this mysterious country, but I never expected that having visited this country once, I would want to stay here for life. Day after day this dream grew in me and the more it became, the more it attracted me. Without waiting for the weather from the sea, I decided to make every possible effort to make the dream a reality. No sooner said than done. My life is now Italy, and it is multifaceted, interesting, beautiful, unpredictable, full of surprises and impressions. I could continue the description indefinitely, but my goal is not just to tell you about Italy, but step by step to acquaint you with it.

How to make a Schengen visa to Italy on your own?

And unfortunately, the bureaucratic issue of obtaining a Schengen visa always becomes the first step towards Italy. I know from personal experience that nobody likes a bureaucracy, especially when you don’t know what and how to do it. Based on this, I decided to write detailed instructions on the collection and submission of documents for a visa through the Italian embassy in Belarus in the city of Minsk.

First stage: online booking for an appointment at the embassy

Since the fall of this year, innovations in this procedure have been introduced. Now recording is carried out only online. To do this, you need to register on the site www.prenotaonline.esteri.it

When filling in the fields, indicate your real data. After registration, you will receive a letter to the specified email address. From this letter you need to go to the embassy page and log in to the system. Now you can make an online reservation from the left menu of the site.

Choose the type of visa that you need. This article will consider an example of opening a tourist visa.
Therefore, we perform the following steps: online booking> Schengen visa> tourist visa. Fill in the fields “Passport Number” and “Date of Intended Departure” and confirm the reservation of the entry.

Second stage: collecting documents for opening a Schengen tourist visa

To submit you will need the following documents:

  1. The application form gave a visa request, which you can download and print from this link;
  2. Your photo in the appropriate format;
  3. Passport valid for more than 3 months from the date of visa request;
  4. Two-way ticket booking;
  5. Demonstration of the availability of accommodation in Italy: Hotel reservationtourist voucher or hospitality confirmation;
  6. Demonstration of the availability of economic funds for a stay during the holiday period, which you can confirm by providing a bank statement or buying travel checks *;

Third stage: submitting documents to the embassy

On the day appointed by the embassy, you must submit documents to the embassy from 9.30 to 11.30, paying 60 euros for a visa, after which you will be given a piece of paper with the date.
